The 1st piece of the Epic Privateer Collection.

This is the brook on the property of the cabin that my granddad built in the 60s. Growing up, my family would drive up and spend weekends here in the heart of the Appalachian mountains. We tramped through the woods picking blackberries, made s’mores on an open campfire, and spent hours hunting crayfish in the shallow brook.

To this day, it’s still one of my favorite places on earth.

This is the first piece in the “Epic Privateer” collection, and is the only scene of the twelve paintings that is rendered 100% true-to-life. The other ones are representations that rely more on symbolism. I wanted the foundation of the collection to be based on real roots. Oddly enough, this one feels the most magical to me.
