This painting depicts a golden eagle inside a transparent sphere, being tossed about in the ocean.

Anyone I’ve asked has a different interpretation of this piece, so I hesitate to share my own intention in creating it because I love that people connect with it differently. However, maybe someone will resonate with the original meaning:

I painted this to represent how sometimes the comfortable, “safe” route hinders you from discovering what you’re capable of. Yes, the eagle is safe inside the sphere, protected from the choppy waves and the storm clouds in the distance, but its wings are of no use. It was a reminder to me to reject the routes that were hindering my connection with my true nature.
