The idea for this painting came to me towards the end of 2025.

Hard to know where to start when describing the meaning behind it, but I’ll give it a shot:

In 2025, I noticed that I’d slipped into a habit of people pleasing. Silencing myself or compromising my own vision in order to appease someone else’s ideals. Some of these situations were more severe than others, but by the end of the year I realized it was becoming detrimental to my own well being. There had been a quiet, slow buildup of rage, mostly directed internally, that had become impossible to ignore.

This painting catapulted me back into my voice.

“Consubstantial With The Mother” has themes of divine feminine creation, rage, blood, and highlights the tools we use to help us with all of it.
